Fun With Triads | Piano Chords | Improvisation

Dave, your coach Hello! Dave here... I created this special video session with one idea in mind:

To offer even the earliest beginner a tool via which he or she
can start becoming creative at that piano or keyboard from the very first session

Really... I mean you don't even have to know the names of the notes of the keys on the piano keyboard... not do you need to know the names of the notes on the piano staff. Now, those who know me are aware of the fact that I certainly encourage learning those but if you know me well enough, you know I come from the train of thought that says you can give yourself permission to start creating music regardless of your skills and/or know-how. Let's face it, friend... the more fun you have doing what you're doing, the more incentive you'll have for wanting to learn more about the details later. So, for now, please let me encourage you to grab a favorite beverage, sit down, relax, and learn a few easy concepts that you can start having fun with right away...

We begin by showing you how to hold your hands over the keyboard... then we move on to playing a few chords (without even having to think about what you're playing)... then we have fun with improvising... yes, you can some pretty amazing sounds of your own. You'll be playing major and minor chords, though we won't be discussing them theoretically. Instead, we'll just start having fun with them right away. (If you would like to gain an understanding of major and minor chords and more, I suggest you begin with Piano Chords 101)

You won't even have to be concentrating on any specific songs to play... but we'll use our familiarity with a couple of them to come up with some musical ideas of our own - the kind that are likely to get you to turn a few heads in the room and get them to say something like, "Hey, what's that you're playing!" or "Where did you ever learn to do that?!?"

By the way, this doesn't have to get in the way of any piano method you are following or any other guidance you are receiving. We're just offering a way to have fun and start creating... get those fingers moving... get those improvisational juices flowing! All it can do is enhance your overall piano routine if you allow it to. Of course, if you have never even placed your hands and fingers over a piano keyboard before, keep in mind that this video was created with you in mind. A suggestion is to watch the full version of this video once all the way through. Follow through with viewing in segments from the beginning as you apply the concepts and have fun with them yourself. Simply proceed at your own pace. That's a great benefit of a video session like this.

Ready? Let's get started... I'm happy to share the first segment of the video with you here for FREE. Continuing after that is entirely up to you but I hope you choose to so that you can start having some fun improvising over those chords! Just to make the decision an easy one, the full version of the video is yours today for only $12.
